At Greenled we want to help you reduce your electricity bills, safely and over a long period. To do this we recommend using LED lighting rather than compact fluorescent or halogen lighting. Our LED lighting will vastly reduce your energy consumption while providing you with the same levels of light you are used to. LEDs have none of the issues associated with halogens or compact fluorescents: they have a warm attractive light, they can be handled when on, contain no mercury and come on instantly.

Traditionally our business is with major commercial energy consumers such as large hotel chains, pubs, offices etc. Yet such is the interest in our LED lights that we are now regularly receiving enquiries from a wide range of other consumers.

We offer below packs of our most popular LED lights, which will suit the needs of domestic householders, smaller businesses and office managers.

These LED lights fit into the vast majority of regular GU10 holders (the ones with the two T-shaped adaptor studs at the rear).

COST of LIGHT:

One question that is regularly asked is: Why are LEDs so expensive ? The answer is: They really are NOT.
Let’s take an example of replacing ten of your regular 35W halogen downlighters with ten of our equivalent strength 3.7W Antares LED downlighters. Our Antares lights will cost you £ 35 each to your door. A halogen light will cost you £ 2.00 to your door. Each Antares lasts for 50,000 hours. An average halogen will last for 2000 – 5000 hours before it fails and has to be replaced. Let’s be generous and call it 5,000 hours. So, over the 50,000 hours you will need 100 (10 x 10) halogens (costing £ 200 in total) or alternatively 10 Antares (costing £ 350).

The price is one thing, the running cost is another. To run each halogen requires 35Watts and to run each LED takes only 3.7Watts. Today’s average domestic electricity price is around 20p / kWh. So over 50,000 hours the cost of running the halogens will be around £ 3,500 and the cost of running the LEDs will be £ 370. That is a saving of roughly 90%.

In total you will spend £ 3,700 (£ 200 + £ 3,500) buying and running your halogens. If you replace them with Greenled Antares you will spend only £ 720 (£350 + £ 370) in all – saving over 80% in the process.

LED ADVANTAGES:

• Greenled LEDs do not contain mercury or any other toxic material. Much safer than compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs).

• Greenled LEDs operate at 65˚C and can be handled when on, without burning. Much safer than other types of bulb.
  
  
• Greenled LEDs are robust. They will not crack, smash or leave glass everywhere if dropped or mishandled.
  
  
• Greenled LEDs emit no infra-red or ultra-violet rays. Much better for your eyes, for your plants and for the conditions of your fabrics

Our 3.7Watt Antares lamps fit directly into the vast majority of standard GU10 lamp holders. They are ideal for replacing halogen downlighters of 20Watts, 35Watts or even 50Watts, saving you up to 90% in energy consumption in the process. With a wide beam, a lifetime of 50,000 hours and a bright light output, they are ideal as downlighters for task lighting and general illumination in corridors, stairways and back-rooms and are suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and other areas where you may have more of an internal floodlighting requirement.

These lights are not suitable for dimming systems.

They are guaranteed against manufacturers defects for 2 years from acquisition.
