1. Site Survey
We recommend a site survey is carried out at the outset to establish the quantity, quality and energy consumption of the current lighting in situ.
2. Energy Circuit Sub-Metering
An energy sub-metering check can easily be carried out (on a per circuit basis if required) to establish actual energy used by the current lighting and after the LED lighting is installed.
3. Pre-installation wiring compatibility check
Although LEDs can be connected to most standard electrical wiring, professional assistance is required for installation of all LED luminaires. We recommend a pre-installation wiring compatibility check be carried out as part of the preparation stage so that any inconsistencies with dimmers, transformer, breakers etc can be identified and resolved prior to installation.
4. Lux Level Analysis
We recommend a Lux Level Analysis is carried out to demonstrate the light levels of the LEDs in addition to or in place of a trial.
5. Demonstrating LEDs
A Demonstration can be arranged by one of our Sustainable Lighting Specialist / sales representatives at premises convenient to you to show you the quality of light output, the brightness of light, the colour consistency and physical design of ultra-efficient LED lighting. Please call to arrange or speak to one of our representatives.
6. Trialing LEDs
We recommend trialing LEDs in situations where decision makers can see the lighting in place and make their selection based on reality. A trial can be arranged easily through our office or sales representative. All trials need to be paid for and a full refund will be made if the lights are returned in full working condition within the time frame agreed (usually 30 days).
7a. Fittings
We carry a number of standard fittings as part of our regular stock. We can obtain a wider selection where customers prefer an alternative style, subject to minimum volumes and availability.
7b. Dimmability
LEDs increasingly operate with standard drivers. Occasionally alternative specific driver technology may need to be installed.
8. Current legislative application
The legislation which is relevant to projects in UK is fast moving. It is worth carrying out a legislative check to ensure you are aware of compliance requirements.
