GREEN LIGHT Gloucestershire-based Greenled Light Ltd has come up with a range of lights which can help hotels to reduce their substantial lighting energy costs, provide and ideal light and comfortably fit in downlighters and spotlight fittings. Having completed recent installations at Kensington’s Royal Garden Hotel and the Best Western Premier Blunsdon House Hotel near Swindon, Greenled Light is delighted with its clients’ response. Recent energy measurements indicate that the electricity consumed in their lighting has been reduced by approximately 75% and the hotel groups have commissioned Greenled to review their entire range of lighting across each estate. These clients committed to the Greenled light range because they wanted a truly sustainable solution which would use minimal energy. The lights used to replace the downlighters use only five watts each and will last for at least five years. Unlike CFL “low energy” technology, which contain sufficient mercury that it must be carefully disposed of at a cost, Greenled lights are almost entirely recyclable. |
